Information 24 hours a day, seven days a week!
Tutor.Com’s Librarians by Request Service will be closed Saturday, July 4, 2009, in observance of the Independence Day Holiday. We will close at 12:00 am ET on Saturday, July 4, 2009, and will reopen at 12:00 am ET on Sunday, July 5, 2009.
Information Live is a real-time reference service via the Internet. Library staff are available to assist you online with reference questions, using the online catalog, or finding a website. The service may be used anytime, day or night. You can get to this site by clicking on the red Information Live icon found throughout the Arlington Public Library’s website.
Ask your question during a live chat session and the librarian will provide you with an answer or guide you through the online catalog, Internet or other library resource.
Many of the resources available in the library, including articles from magazines and journals, encyclopedias, almanacs and directories, are available to you online. For some database resources, staff may need your library card number.
At the end of your session you will receive a transcript of your chat session and a list of the referenced Internet resources.
Information Live provides:
- Short, factual answers
- Help with the catalog
- Information on databases
- Reliable Internet references
- Around the clock Information
- Answers from the Arlington Library Reference staff (during business hours)
